What the Reference Covers
North Carolina makes many arrest and booking records available, but the answer depends on the record holder. Johnston County Sheriff’s Office runs the current inmate inquiry and recent-arrest search. The Johnston County Detention Center is the county custody layer. Clayton, Smithfield, and Selma police maintain their own incident and report paths. The Clerk and eCourts carry later case events. The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction covers state prison, probation, and parole records, while BOP and ICE are separate federal systems.
